As Ayurveda increases in popularity, Dosha has become a viral word, often misused and misunderstood. Though the word itself means “that which vitiates,” it has come to be synonymous with Constitution - the opposite of Vitiation!
In this workshop, we will take a comprehensive look at what makes up Dosha - how to understand if we are Living in Balance or Living in Dosha.
We will cover the 5 elements, 20 gunas, and explore how each combine to form varieties of what we know as simply Vata, Pitta, & Kapha. From here we can discuss our own Constitutions and understand why we often go out of balance in the same way(s).
This workshop will teach you how to effectively SEE Ayurveda. From this vantage point of “vidya,” you will be able to discern what foods, activities, conversations, and self-care techniques are useful in particular circumstances.
No medicine is forever, no activity always works, but if we can understand the Nature of Change - which is the Nature of Dosha - we can certainly learn to be supportive, predictive, and healthy.
